How to Use the MS Syringe Filters

Warning:

·        Donot use the MS filter unit with male luer slip outlet for direct patient careapplications; they are designed for laboratory use only.

·        Donot use with syringes smaller than 10 cc because pressures in excess of themaximum pressure rating may be reached, potentially causing damage to thefilter unit and/or personal injury.

Cautions:

·        Donot use the MS syringe filters at temperatures above 45℃ (113 °F) to ensure proper filtration.

·        Donot use the MS unit to filter a protein containing solution unless binding ofthe sample to the filter is evaluated.

·        Donot reuse the MS 2 filter unit with male luer slip outlet.

Directions for the MS Filter Unit withMale Luer Slip Outlet

Fill the syringe with the solution you want to filter.

Attach the syringe to the MS filter unit with male luer slip outlet.

Hold the syringe with filter pointing up and “top off” by pushing a few dropsthrough the filter.

Push the syringe plunger to deliver a filtered solution.
